About Me
More than thirty years ago, I started my first job on Capitol Hill not knowing much—except that I wanted to make a difference.
I spent my early career climbing the ladder and learning how organizations and people work. I learned what real leadership looks like: in boardrooms during crisis, across state lines building partnerships, through multiple organizational transformations and culture initiatives, and alongside people navigating the messy, uncertain work of change. Somewhere along the line, I stopped climbing and started leading - with purpose and connection.
A year ago, I stepped away from executive life to prepare to launch something I've been building toward my entire career: Growth Development and Performance, LLC. My approach is simple, practical, and customizable. As a Gallup-Certified Stengths coach, I combine my real-world experience with proven, research-backed tools to help leaders, teams, and organizations transform how they think about themselves, their interactions with others, and their opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
With over 30 years of experience in government relations and the utility industry, I am recognized for building genuine relationships, executing complex projects, and leading high-performing teams to deliver sustainable outcomes. I also have served as a trusted advisor to public officials, executives, and board members.
The Value of CliftonStrengths
The global strengths movement started six decades ago when Don Clifton posed a simple question: "What would happen if we studied what was right with people versus what's wrong with people?"Grounded in decades of Gallup research on the science of strengths, the CliftonStrengths assessment measures the presence of 34 research-validated talent themes that reflect the most common ways people naturally think, feel, and act to achieve success. It's a development tool – the more you use your strengths, the stronger they get - and a means of tailoring talent to task and improving performance.
More than 90% of Fortune 500 companies have used CliftonStrengths to bring the power of strengths-based development to their workplace culture.
Significance of My Logo Design
The woven symbol in a circular pattern represents individuals working together while continuously evolving together as a unit. The circular structure reflects GDP’s coaching philosophy — growth is not a straight line, but an ongoing process of reflection, learning, and improvement.
